Web 2.0 Getting Started Guide

(for customers using our desktop TroopMaster/PackMaster program)

NOTE: If you are new to Web 2.0, we have created a variety of 'How-To' Videos to give you an overview of the program and also demonstrate how to use certain features in the system. These can be viewed at:

The following steps will help you get started with your new Web 2.0:


  1. From TroopMaster/PackMaster desktop create an Export file to upload to the new Web 2.0.

    1. Make sure you have version TroopMaster 4.11e/PackMaster V4.05b or greater under Help>About. If you are still using an older version, updates can be downloaded from our website at: http://www.troopmaster.com/downloads/

    2. Go to File>Export>TroopMaster 2016 and save this file to a location on your hard drive that you can find later.

    3. Log into your new Web 2.0 Account (settings below). Go to File>Import From TroopMaster/PackMaster.

    4. Click Upload Import File and select the 'TM2016.mdb' or 'PM2016.mdb' file that you saved in step 3b.

    5. If you also have archived data you would like to import, this can be done as well. Instructions for the complete procedure can be found in the instructional video listed below.

  2. Configure the UserID and Password settings for your members.

  3. Once you create a UserID/Password for each user and marked them as Active, your members can choose to install our TM/PM Mobile App from their app store. Once installed, users can enter their new login settings in the mobile app. Users should also make sure to select the Web 2.0 option so they can connect to the site.

  4. You can also choose to create a custom website for your unit.

NOTE: The new Web 2.0 version is a stand-alone application which no longer relies on a desktop installation for operation of the system. If your unit requires a desktop installation of the program, we recommend that you continue using the original software Web 1.0 until our new desktop version is released in 2017.
